Let's face it, with the internet comes opportunity for folks to enjoy their hobby and make some extra money while still staying connected to the mainstream.
While I think this is great, I also think there are some products that need to stay in a commercialized/retail setting. That would be FOOD!
I made a pledge to myself a while back that I would never buy anything, especially FOOD, from the side of the road out of a pick up truck or the person that just walks in off the street and wants to sell me some FOOD, that I am figuring does not have a health permit and is not governed and inspected by the local health authorities and I am betting they are not collecting sales tax.
There are so many opportunities in this country of ours that NO ONE should have to try and skirt the laws of our community and state to try and make a buck selling FOOD.
As a matter of fact, Texas does not allow any food to be made in the home kitchen and distributed to the public, read it here Texas Laws & Regulations For Selling Food Products From Home
That's my sound off for the day. How about you?
